Our Motorhome Habitation Checks look after the habitation area of your motorhome. They make sure it is safe for use, pick up on any issues before they are major problems and are often a requirement to maintain your warranty. Plus habitation checks are a great addition to your service history, making your motorhome more valuable should you ever decide to sell.
Our engineer will travel to your location to provide your detailed motorhome habitation check which involves testing your gas system, appliances, electrical system, water system and provides a damp report. Our experienced engineer will also check body work, windows and doors and the floor will be checked for delamination.
Your included damp report will advise if there are any signs of damp which is usually a sign of water ingress. If high levels of damp are found it is imperative that further checks and repairs are carried out before any water ingress causes expensive damage to the structure of your caravan or motorhome.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report should be carried out every 3 years and is often required by insurance companies.
It checks the 230 volt (electric hook up) system, testing your motorhomes wiring to ensure it is still safe and hasn't deteriorated over time, especially in areas where it is exposed or passes through any bodywork or furniture within your motorhome.
Our engineer will use these checks and provide a report to advise if there are any issues present at the time or if there's something that might need work in the near future; allowing you to make any necessary repairs to keep your vehicle safe and to sort any small issues before they become major problems.
If you've decided to build your own campervan it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to a gas system.
Your insurance company will likely require a gas safety certificate to prove the system has been professionally installed and complies with the current UK and European Regulations EN1949 and R67.
